Our Mission is to serve and support the needs of foster children in the Upstate of South Carolina, so no child is left behind. PS I Love You was established in 2009, by a local foster family that found it difficult to provide all the necessities needed for foster children who came into their home. From that experience, they founded PS I Love You to provide programs and services to help foster children in our community that are the product of difficult life situations that is no fault of their own. When children come into the foster care system, many times they come with only the clothes on their back or a small trash bag of their belongings. Meeting the needs of a child, children or sibling group, can be very overwhelming and costly for foster families. PS I Love You provides a clothing closet and resource center to meet the physical needs of foster children from head to toe. Foster families visit our clothing closet at the arrival of a new placement, season change, or after a growth spurt of their current foster child/children. We provide clothes, shoes, underwear, socks, diapers, wipes, baby equipment, toys, bibles, books, and a Care Bag for foster children. A foster parent’s calling is to promote the growth or development of a child that they do not know. The trauma, abuse, or neglect a foster child experiences before being placed into foster care is messy, undeserved, and most of all, no fault of their own. Their two worlds collide and things are expected to fall into place. We believe that supporting the foster parent is critical to the success of the child in foster care.
